Good Combinator Apply / Partner

Florida scholarship families

Can Florida scholarship funds help pay for FDE tuition?

Possibly. The right path depends on your scholarship funding organization, available balance, payment category, and whether Good Combinator or a documented partner has approval for the specific category.

The safe first step is a review packet, not an assumption that reimbursement is guaranteed.

One-page explainer

The public version parents can forward or print.

This explainer uses conservative language: scholarship support may be possible, but the payment lane must be documented before eligibility is claimed.

How the review works

The process starts with documentation.

Florida scholarship rules are category-specific. The packet helps a family ask the SFO the right question with the right documents instead of guessing.

  1. 1. Tell us the scholarship status. We ask for SFO, scholarship type, grade band, school year, and whether the account is applied, awarded, funded, or unknown.
  2. 2. Prepare a preliminary category rationale.FDE may need SFO review as an approved online course, documented partner route, tutoring, curriculum, or separate FDE credential assessment fee.
  3. 3. Generate the review packet. The packet includes an invoice, program description, tuition schedule, category rationale, and parent upload instructions.
  4. 4. Parent submits through the SFO.The parent uses their own scholarship portal. Good Combinator does not access parent accounts.
  5. 5. Use the right enrollment timeline.Enrollment timing depends on direct-payment approval or receipt, parent-pay acknowledgement, or a separate Good Combinator enrollment hold that is not an SFO approval.

Payment paths

The route depends on provider status and category fit.

Direct provider payment

Used only where provider approval, service listing, payment timing, and documentation requirements are ready for the SFO lane.

Partner-provider path

Used when an eligible provider, institution, or approved program supports the specific FDE component better than a Good Combinator direct-provider route.

Parent-pay reimbursement

Used when a family chooses to pay first after acknowledging the SFO still decides whether reimbursement is available.

FAQ
